THIS IS OUR STORY!
My name is Kiia Hållfast. Growing up and learning about the world I started to feel anxious consuming fast fashion and knowing what it does to our planet and how people working in manufacturing are treated.
I didn’t always quite found the things I was looking for at Second-Hand stores. Walking down the street and scrolling through social media I would see gorgeous outfits, fashions, and styles. My mind was filled with different ensembles but I did not want to indulge in fast fashion and second-hand clothing was left gathering dust in my closet after just a few uses.
With a student budget, monthly payments of clothing rentals felt a little frightening. When I was 17 years old in the summer of 2020 I decided to set up my own clothing rental where it would be easy to lend clothes with just a single payment and down-to-earth expenses. I’d like to make The Closet of Ours something where everyone can fulfill their fashion inspiration in the most sustainable way possible.
